On-campus Residential Housing
Residential housing has returned to standard operating capacity. New Residence Hall remains offline for isolation and quarantine purposes as necessary. Please visit the Residential Housing website for additional information on housing options. Please note that only students who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 may live on campus in the fall.
Pre-Entrance Health Requirements
For fall 2021, in addition to other vaccination requirements, all residential students must receive a seasonal flu vaccination by November 15 but no sooner than July 2021. Students should upload a record of their flu vaccination to the OWL portal as soon as possible for review and verification by Student Health Services. Please note that students are not required to receive a vaccination that is medically contraindicated and may apply for a medical exemption.
Isolation and Quarantine
TCNJ has developed a comprehensive plan to isolate or quarantine residents who test positive for COVID-19. Students who need to quarantine or isolate will be provided with a temporary housing assignment in a designated quarantine or isolation building. To facilitate the move, students will be provided with a recommended packing list and a cart to transport their belongings. During this time, TCNJ Dining Services will take meal orders and deliver food to the new location. Students are not allowed to leave these rooms/units until they have been cleared by Student Health Services and/or the TCNJ Covid Comply Team.
All TCNJ dining facilities have returned to operation for fall 2021. Capacity limits are consistent with state guidelines, and to-go options remain in place. Members of the TCNJ community who have been granted a medical or religious exemption from the COVID-19 vaccination are permitted to use the dining facilities. All students, faculty, and staff must adhere to current face covering and distancing requirements.
For locations and hours, visit the TCNJ Dining Services website.
Athletics, Student Organizations, and Activities
Students who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 may participate in the full range of activities on campus this fall. Face coverings are required for any indoor activities.
Students who have been granted a medical or religious exemption from the COVID-19 vaccine are permitted to, while wearing a face covering and physically distancing, participate in varsity athletics (with potential restrictions for team travel) and in club, organization, recreation, cultural, or campus activities that do not involve high contact with others and for which physical distancing is feasible and enforced by the group. These students are not permitted to participate in club, organization, recreation, cultural, or campus activities that involve high contact with others and for which physical distancing is not feasible and enforced.
Athlete health and safety requirements and an increased spectator policy (consistent with state and NCAA guidelines) as well as additional information are available via the Athletics website.
